Adroit Associates invites qualified and committed Institutional Strengthening (IS) professionals to apply for inclusion in our IS Subject-Matter Expert (SME) Pool for Afghanistan and Ethiopia, supporting immediate and upcoming assignments.
This call is linked to current and upcoming projects, including institutional capacity assessments, organizational development, capacity development programs, systems strengthening, governance support, and related technical assistance across multiple regions. Selected experts will be prioritized for short- and medium-term consultancies, many expected to commence on short notice.
This opportunity is ideal for IS professionals who want to contribute to high-impact work in complex and fragile contexts while engaging with a trusted and established consulting firm.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Master’s degree required in public administration, management, organizational development, social sciences, development studies, economics, or related fields.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant IS/OD experience in Afghanistan and Ethiopia or comparable fragile contexts.
Languages
- Professional proficiency in English; fluency in local languages required
Key Skills
- Strong analytical, facilitation, and institutional writing skills (policies, SOPs, strategies, manuals)
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness and ability to travel to provinces/regions
- High ethical standards, including safeguarding and data protection compliance
- Familiarity with donor requirements (UN agencies, FCDO, EU, World Bank, etc.)
