Job Summary
The Real Estate and Insurance Officer role involves securing title deeds, construction permits and ensuring timely payment of land taxes and leases payments. The officer will also manage insurance coverage for company assets and follow up on claims with internal departments and insurance providers.
Key Activities
- Coordinate real estate activities including title deed acquisition, construction permits, and land tax payments.
- Represent the company at federal and regional government offices (Mayor’s office, sub-cities, woredas, land bureaus).
- Ensure compliance with local real estate laws and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure that real estate related taxes and leases are paid on time.
- Manage external liaison officers and real estate data updates.
- Ensure full insurance coverage of company assets and follow up on claims.
- Prepare periodic reports and organize feedback meetings with insurers.
Job Requirements
What we’re looking for:
- Educational Background: Degree from a recognized University.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in dealing with land management offices in Addis Ababa and in the regions.
- Skills: Determined, persistent, or tenacious, excellent communication and negotiation skills, team player/High Integrity, able to frequently travel to the regions.
- Language: Excellent written and spoken English and other local language is an advantage.
